This week has been a week of sad phone calls. I received a call to say that PP Craig Mitchell’s wife Patty was flown to Macquarie University Hospital after suffering a heart issue. Patty was in a very serious condition but thankfully is on the road to recovery. The club has sent our best wishes and a bunch of flowers.
Our thoughts are with Rotarians Diana and Nick Butler. Diana's mother passed away over the weekend, we have expressed our sympathy and sent flowers.
Rotarians Judith and Neville King are both in need of our fellowship, as Judith will be going to hospital for surgery and Neville is in respite. Please keep in contact with them both during this time as they have never spent time away from each other in 30 plus years and I know Judith will recover more quickly if she knows we are looking after Neville.
I have seen some great photos on Facebook of Rotarians having fun firstly at the Planetarium and then enjoying a meal at Inveresk. I would also like to thank those Rotarians who put up their hand to help at the Casino Red Hot Summer Tour. Great photos guys and job well done.
This Thursday night our guest speaker is Jane Robinson from Donate Life Tasmania. If you recall we donated some of our proceeds from "A day in the Vines " to this wonderful organisation. Once again we will be in for another interesting evening.
