Hello Rotarians

I hope you have had a wonderful week.

Last Thursday our club members enjoyed an evening out at the Gunners Arms Tavern. On all accounts those members who went enjoyed a great night out. Alas, due to family commitments I could not attend.

We have completed another year at RYDA. I sincerely would like to thank those members who were involved in the catering; a big effort as we have members away, the volunteers who delivered and picked up chairs, were day managers and led student groups to their various presentations. Thank you everyone. A great job done once again by the coordinator Annette Viney from the Deloraine Club. Phil and Joyce (Youth Services) send their thanks as well.

This week is our Family Fun Night. Thank you to Ian Smith for once again hosting this night for our Rotary Families. I know they all enjoy it.

As you all know this is my second year as President. I am hoping one of our members will put their hand up to take over from me at the changeover dinner at the end of June 2024. I am enjoying the role of President but after 2 years it is someone else’s turn to lead our club.

Moving Forward:
12 October – Roderick Brown on the work of the Salvos
19 October – Les Baxter on the work of Vinnies
26 October – Social evening
2 November – Quiz night

Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday evening for our family night at the Grand Chancellor.
Yours in Rotary

Andrea Bartholemew President
