On Monday, 23rd August our Board met for our monthly meeting
and my message this week is about giving you an update on what
This year RYDA will take place between the 12th and 22nd of October and our Club has agreed to be involved in assisting on one day of the event as well as providing the lunches. Our Board Director Sue will be asking our club members for assistance shortly.
Brooks High School and Queechy High School have requested our support and the Club resolved to do so, through bursaries.
We received an email requesting our Club’s involvement with the Sustainable Living Festival, 9th October at Windsor Community Precinct in Riverside. Due to the relatively short time to organise and also competing activities, the Board decided to decline to assist with this event.
A request was received for our Club to sponsor two young people (Aimee Woodley and William Coulson) to attend the National Youth Science Program and we resolved to do so once we find them to be suitable and worthy candidates.
The Club also discussed our commitment to participate in the organising of the Friendship Ball 2022 and that we will have to decide on our preferred charity/organisation to benefit from the proceeds (in addition to Care for Africa).
I also would like to take the opportunity to thank Board Director and Treasurer, Steve, for the comprehensive budget report and for the work he has done in preparing this information.
Very much appreciated!
Yours in Rotary
