Hello Rotarians.
Last Monday the board held a meeting where, unfortunately, I was a late apology.
Thank you to Rotarian Andrea and Rotarian Dale for chairing and minute taking respectively.
The club will have a short recess for Christmas/New Year with the last dinner
meeting on Thursday 17 December and resuming with a BBQ social function on
Thursday 7 January.
Please note that the following week will be the club’s AGM – so please look out for a
special email from Secretary Andrea seeking nominations for the board for the
2021/22 year. The President-Elect for 2021/22 will be Rotarian Lara Alexander.
This week is the 4th Thursday of the month and hence an offsite social function at
Steve’s Bar and Grill – if you haven’t booked then please contact Rotarian Les Baxter
ASAP.
And on Saturday is Grouse Vegas. Rotarian Wayne Higgs is the contact for late
attendees or extra numbers.
Even in this the COVID year, the festive season remains a busy time of year. And so
it should as we all endeavour to catch up with friends and family to share the stories
of 2020.
One Last matter. In this newsletter contains a message from PDG Michael Cooke
regarding The Rotary Foundation. We will have the pleasure of hosting DG Michael
Plunkett at our meeting in the next few weeks. I expect that the DG will want to talk
about The Rotary Foundation during his presentation.
Bye for now. President Harry
