Hello Rotarians.

As always I hope that you had a good week.

Last week we visited the Iron Horse Bar and Grill.  This was also a partners event and hence the very large turn-out.  From the level of the noise it appeared that fellowship and friendship were alive and strong.  We heard briefly from Stephanie Groves on her internship at a clinic fitting artificial limbs to those many thousands in need in Cambodia – one has to pinch themselves to remember this is a 19 year old, one year out of secondary college.  I think a worthy candidate for Rotary’s help.

This week will we be back at the Grand Chancellor and have a member only friendship night with a difference – Les Baxter (Member Services Director) has something in store.  It would be great (as always) to see as many as possible attending.

This week will also be a sad week – it will be Rotarians Karen and Josh De Groot’s last dinner meeting at our club.  Join with me to wish them the best for their future – their next journey will be in Inverloch Victoria.

We had a board meeting on 14th November – I will present the highlights and major news during the president’s report this week.
