Hello Rotarians, Firstly, thank you to those who attended the Group 4 & 5 Forum at Grindelwald last Monday week.  Although a longish night, there was a lot of information presented relevant to the community service work we do.  South Launceston had 20 something attending out of 70 at the forum – a very strong representation. We have a lot happening over November, being the start of the warmer weather – the Country Club Music festival on 2nd, sheep poo bagging on 9th and Longford Blooms on 16-17th.  This will be a strain on our resources and maybe a strain on friendships – as always any help will be gratefully appreciated. In addition to the above fund-raising events a core of the board will be attending a lecture on Sunday 10th November at Deloraine on best practice to increase membership.  This is open to any Rotarian to attend – more on this in this newsletter if this interests you. Don’t forget that if you have a family member who is a War Veteran, then please invite them (as our guest) to the 7th November dinner meeting.  Please let Rotarian Terry know before 10am Tuesday for catering purposes. And from a Rotary fellowship/friendship perspective – everyone seemed to have a wonderful day at the trout fish hatchery. (Thank you Rotarian Nic for organizing the outing, including a tour of the facility and rods which yielded some 50-80kg of fish!!!)  In December we have a Christmas Breakup Wine Tour (Saturday 15th) and on a Thursday meeting night, a family friendly Christmas Party.   One last thing – we are supporting the Deloraine Rotary Club in their Harley Davidson Motorbike raffle.  Although the tickets are $100 each, the number of tickets are limited and half of what is raised will go directly to charity or community service projects.  See Secretary Andrea of you want a ticket. So much on this time off year both in our normal and Rotary lives.  See you at Thursday’s dinner meeting. President Harry
