Programs | Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment

A District Australian designed project that comprises a camp-style weekend seminar for young people between the ages of 14 and 17 years.

It is one of Rotary’s most successful youth programs, where selected Year 10 students across different schools in Tasmania gather in a safe and supportive environment.

RYPEN aims to provide young people with the opportunity to develop their potential and self esteem, provide experiences that will assist them to form their own values and moral standards, and to broaden their cultural, social and academic horizons.

RYPEN encourages young people to explore their ideas of problem solving in team and group activities. RYPEN is about building young people’s confidence and developing their skills to cope in a wide range of situations.

This weekend long camp is designed at developing their potential through a mixture of lecture style sessions and adventure-based learning.

A program of thought provoking speakers, social situations and personal challenges is offered
