We had a great meeting this week, thanks to Rotarian Les Baxter for organising Mary Gill to come and speak to us about recycling. It was great to see examples of packaging that can be recycled to remind us of just what we can be separating when we are throwing rubbish in our bins. Rotarians can certainly do their bit when shopping by looking at packaged products they are purchasing and selecting the items with less packaging.
It was fantastic to meet our Rotary Exchange Student Ayumi on Thursday evening. It will be great to follow along with her this Rotary year enjoying her time in Tasma-nia.
Rotarian Merilyn will be giving a report this week on her recent time spent in Fiji. We have received an invitation from the Norwood Probus Club to join them on a bus trip to the Wynyard Tulip Festival on the 18th October 2018 at a cost of $65.00 including lunch. The club needs numbers and payment by September.
Rotarians have volunteered for work at the Student Works on the 18th and 19th Au-gust to assist with painting etc and they have invited us back on the 26th October to visit and see their operations.
RYDA will be coming up soon lets hope for great weather.
We have a board meeting this Thursday after our meeting, looking forward to see-ing you all this Thursday, President Krista.
