President Glenda’s Notes - 3rd May 2018

Wednesday, 09 May 2018

Hello Fellow  Rotarians,

What can I possibly  say about last Thursday  nights meeting.  Rotarian  Ian Smith  thank you just does not seem to be enough. The room was alive with chatter and laughter as we all watched the younger ones enjoy many of the games Rotarian  Ian  produce with a touch of drama. I am sure we sent those little ones home hyped up for their parents .

I think you would all have to agree that the night was a success.

This week is Agfest and I would like to wish you all a successful  time as you serve the public at this great event. A huge thanks to Rotarian  Graeme  LeFevre  for getting  this food van up and running, it has not been an easy task and has created some headaches in particular  with permits and rosters. Not to be singled out I would also like to acknowledged  everyone  that has donated their time and energy thus far without you this could not happen.

We have a great team of Rotarians  heading off to Fiji in June and from the emails I have received these guys really are going to make a huge difference  to the people on the island. Rotarians  please support this club project. A simple way to support is to offer encouragement  to the team Rotarians  Dale  Luck,  Graeme  LeFevre,  Henk Kortekaas,  Harry  Galea  and Merilyn Briggs.

If any Rotarian  can think of an easy fundraiser  that they can do please mention it to one of the team.

I look forward to  seeing you  all on  Thursday evening.

Yours  in Rotary

President Glenda Iles
