President Glenda’s Notes - 21 June 2018

Tuesday, 26 Jun 2018

Hello Fellow Rotarians,

Thank you all for helping  to celebrate  Bjork's  18th Birthday.  Bjork  had a great time and enjoyed the company of everyone and loved her gift. It certainly  was full  on for this young lady as she celebrated her birthday the next day with a surprise  party at Kings Bridge Restaurant organised by a  wonderful  group of young ladies. It was lovely to see how much Bjork  means to these girls as they spoke about  the freindships that have developed. Bjork will be missed by all. We only have 3 weeks left before she returns home to her family. Bjork is of to Hobart this weekend for the District  Governors  changeover Luncheon  and to say goodbye  to her fellow Exchange students.

Rotarians  could you please ensure that your Working  with children cards are up to date as we enter another Rotary  year that will no doubt  involve  young and vulnerable  people. Without this card you will not be able to assist with some projects and in particular  host another exchange student. If you are having trouble  completing the application  you can contact Rotarian  Dale Luck or myself.

The team in Fiji are certainly  working hard to complete their project. Keep an eye  on the Facebook  posts.

I look forward to  seeing you  all on  Thursday evening.

Yours  in Rotary

President Glenda Iles
