President Glenda’s Notes - 9th November 2017

Friday, 24 Nov 2017

~~Hello Rotarians,
Firstly I have to say sorry to those Rotarians who missed out on a fun night at our wine auction. The evening was filled with lots of laughs and a great amount of money raised. Thankyou Rotarian Craig Mitchell auctioneer extraordinaire and his side kicks Rotarian Les Grant and Sheryl Guy.
I would also like to thank Rotarians  Karen De Groot,  Toni  Binns,  Paul  Swaitkowski,  Les Grant  and Craig Mitchell  for helping shake the tin  at Bunnings for Lift the Lid a Rotary Health  initiative  to raise  awareness  of mental health.
I have not written alot about Bjork in the last few weeks.  To date Bjork has finished school for the year and will be looking forward to seeing more of our wonderful state. This last weekend we set of to the Deloraine Craft Fair and enjoyed a great day of craft stalls and food, we also took her to the Tasmanian Conservatory of Food to tease her tastebuds. On Friday Bjork sets out on her Tassie tour with all the other inbound students, we unfortunately  will not hear Bjork give her presentation  until the New Year as we have already booked in a few must do experiences  for her. I once again ask you all to invite Bjork along to any event that you are attending, even if it is a family event it is all still a part of the experience  for her.
Thought for the day:    12months of your exchange student’s life will stay with you forever.
Yours in Rotary      President Glenda Iles
