President Glenda’s Notes- 8th August 2016

Tuesday, 09 Aug 2016

Hello Rotarians,
Thank you all for attending our meeting last week. Rotarian Merilyn Briggs gave us a very informative evening with her talk about Fiji and Cyclone Winston. It’s hard to believe that 12 months has passed since we took a team over there to finish up our project at Koroinasau Primary school. I think you would all agree that Merilyn has a big heart and through her talk and slide show, we all got to see a small part of that.
This week we are having our Trivia night.  I hope you have all brushed up on your trivia skills as Ian Smith has been working very hard on the questions. Please remember to bring a non-perishable item for donation to the Salvation Army. This is not however a buffet night as stated in the calendar.
There is a Board meeting this Thursday night and I look forward to seeing as many Board members as possible.
In this week’s message stick I have added a few interesting items for you to read.
Congratulations are in order ...
