Welcome Rotarians,
Thankyou Secretary Krista Preece for running the meeting for me it was very much appreciated. Unfortunately a bout of laryngitis hit me and as you are all aware of how much I love to talk I was disappointed not to share the evening with you all. This week Bjork Hansen will be do her presentation on her home The Faroe Islands, this is one you do not want to miss. The Rotary Conference is nearly here and I encourage you to place your booking by this weekend.I also must thank Rotarian Kathy Macqueen for taking care of Bjork on the Monday of the labour day weekend. Bjork took up the challenge of learning to row on our glorious Tamar River. Bjork had a great time and enjoyed every moment, this young lady is always willing to have a go at anything.Geoff and I had the pleasure of attending an evening at St Patricks College where Bjork presented her monologue for Theatre performance. This is only in its early stages and something Bjork has never done before, she did a great job and of course we were very proud to see how much hard work was put into this.Next Wednesday night we will be meeting with Kings Meadows Rotary therefore there will be no meeting on the Thursday night. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and Happy Easter.
Yours in Rotary President Glenda Iles
