President Glenda’s Notes - 21st September 2017

Thursday, 21 Sep 2017

Hello fellow  Rotarians,

Thankyou  to  all  who attended last weeks meeting. DG Tony  Coleman  and his wife Liz gave a great introduction on the Rotary  year  ahead of us. Prior to  our meeting  the Board sat with the DG and outlined what we are wanting to achieve this year and we also mentioned the project we have completed. The DG has encouraged us to keep up the good work. The DG has also mention the conference which will be held in Hobart in April, I would suggest that if you are interested  in  going  booking a hotel room sooner than later would be beneficial  especially  if  you  want to  stay in the city or waterfront area.

We have 14 members attending the Group Forum on Wednesday,  we will be truly flying our club flag with pride.

Geoff  ,Bjork  and I headed off to Hobart on Saturday,  it was a very wet and cold day and Bjork felt at home. We visited Salamanca  and Hobart city for a teeny bit of shopping, lunch was at Mures and did not disappoint.  I will once again ask Rotarians  to consider taking Bjork along with them to any days trips. School break is coming up soon which means alot of free time for our exchange student and I would  hate to see her get bored.

I look forward  to seeing  you all  next Thursday.
