President Glenda’s Notes - 14th September 2017

Wednesday, 13 Sep 2017

~~Welcome to another busy Rotary week. Thankyou  to those Rotarians  that helped at the Kidney Health walk with a  bbq. I believe the day was a great success.

This week we welcomed the  District Governor  Tony Coleman and his wife Liz to our meeting.
Directors there is a Board meeting on Thursday  evening  please have your reports prepared.

Next week there is no meeting  however  there is a Group Forum on Wednesday  evening  at the Launceston Golf Club,  starting at 6.30 cost is $35 per head and guests speakers include  Matthew Vierney who will be talking to us about youth and domestic violence  and how this impacts on their lives. We will also learn about RYPEN and RYLA. This forum is very youth orientated and I am sure that all of us will enjoy it as we are all young at heart.

Bjork enjoyed a weekend with Rotarian  Terry Crawford,  Sheryl and Montana.   Terry and his girls took Bjork to The Junction on Friday evening, Saturday was spent on a farm at Cressy . Bjork did see a wombat but unfortunately  it  was  not well, but it was still interesting for our overseas guest. That evening Bjork and Montana made pizzas. Sunday the girls had a sleep in while Terry worked on the BBQ at the Kidney  Health walk. Thank you  Terry, Sheryl and Montana for showing  Bjork another piece  of  our great state. This weekend Bjork and I will be shopping in Hobart for the day while Geoff goes to the footy.

I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday evening.

Yours  in Rotary
