President Glenda’s Notes-26th Sept 2016

Monday, 26 Sep 2016

Dear  Rotarians,
It is with great sadness that I have been informed of Rotarian Kim Biggelaar 's fathers recent passing. I have passed on our condolences  to Kim, Matthew and their family  at this sad time. Words seem so feeble at a time like this, may they hold those precious memories close to their hearts.

Wednesday evening  was group Forum 4,5 & 6, which was held at the Boathouse. Thankyou to all those Rotarians who attended. We had some great guest speakers and we all took something  away  from that meeting. It was also a great way of connecting  with other Rotarians from elsewhere.

This Thursday  is "Bring a Friend " night. It will be a casual evening with finger food being served at the usual price. Rotaract will be presenting  a small presentation  about their club. Please make President  Blaze and her members welcome as they are our future.
Rotarian Jacquilyne  Kelder  has been busy organising  RYDA,  if anyone can help with the kiosk please step forward  as we still have a few spaces available.

Rotarian  Dale Luck has asked if any members would like to volunteer a few hours on Sunday 15th October for The Make a Wish  walk, run event. It is a great community  event and equally a great way for our club to be involved community wise. It is at Aurora stadium  and we would need to be there at 8.15 am. Volunteers will be placed along the events course.

Quote of the week is dedicated to Rotarian Kim.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Thank you.
 President Glenda Iles
