Care for Africa
Their Mission Statement is: Fostering growth and self-sufficiency in communities, through clean water, health, education and economic well-being.

We were fortunate last Thursday evening to have our club member Diana Butler OAM speak to us and give an update on her and the many volunteers and donors activities and show a video. Diana is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Care for Africa and we always look forward to these updates.

She told that on September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and people like you.
She also told us that The World Bank estimates that over 75 percent of Tanzanians do not have adequate sanitation, while nearly 50 percent don’t have water that is guaranteed to be clean.
She spoke about the eight Water Wells that CFA are working with the communities.
CFA have started a Breakfast Program that will ensure children at schools will have at least breakfast to supplement their daily food intake.
We are always amazed at the excellent work that Diana and her willing band of workers seemed to achieve and we wish them all the best in their endeavors
