We went off on another Club Social Event yesterday to the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre in Beaconsfield. This was a place where you could lose yourself in mining history.
Obviously the Mine rescue in April 2006 was a huge feature but the Centre houses over 10,000 objects in its heritage collection so there was plenty to interest all who went along.
Our tour guide Nigel, from the West Tamar Historical Committee really knew all about this history and conducted a really great tour. Thank you Nigel from all.
